Anthony turned to running as a way of getting fit after having a heart attack. Anthony recalls his first ever run – “I ran /walked Devonport park in 55 mins and thought I was gunna die”. He stuck with it and eventually those times came down and he started running the whole way. Anthony grew to love the sport and after completing the 10km event in the 2018 Cadbury Marathon Festival, he set his sights on the full 42.2. After getting his Golden Ticket, Anthony dedicated himself to his training and even competed in the Devonport Duathlon alongside star triathlete Jake Birtwhistle during his training program.
Anthony successfully completed the 2019 Cadbury Marathon and went on to do his second full Marathon at Ross just 4 months later. There’s just no stopping Anthony now!
