DESCRIPTION:The Rail Trail Run and Ride is held on the picturesque North-East Rail Trail\, between Scottsdale and the Billycock. The event was established in 2018 and is hosted by the Rotary Club of Scottsdale in partnership with The Launceston Running Club. This fantastic event not only showcases the North-East Rail Trail to the broader community\, but any profit from the event supports the development and ongoing maintenance of the trail. \n\n\n\nEvent distances ranging from 2km through to 54km\, with options to run\, ride\, or both! DESCRIPTION:We’re unearthing another trail running gem that’s been hidden in plain sight. This is a brand-new event for 2026! \n\n\n\nThe three Ridgy-Didge courses are dominated by forests of gorgeous open silver peppermint. There is a mix of tight single tracks\, and open fire trails. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Tasmania’s ONLY obstacle course mud run! \n\n\n\nThis obstacle course is designed to challenge and inspire participants of all abilities\, featuring over 45 diverse obstacles including rope climbs\, balance beams\, A-frames\, and muddy army crawls. DESCRIPTION:Entrants go head-to-head against the Don River Railway Steam train. \n\n\n\nThe race starts at the iconic Don River Railway and follows the beautiful Devonport walking track/Don River all the way to Coles Beach and return. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, runners and walkers are entertained by all sorts of things and can hear the train chasing them down as it meanders its way through the Don Reserve.
