SUMMARY:Flinders Island Running Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Flinders Island Running Festival started in 2007 as a community fun run and health promotion day and has grown every year since!  \n\n\n\nThe Festival is still very much a community weekend and all participants of any age and fitness are encouraged to join in. There is a generous time cap for those who like to take their time\, but there is plenty of competition for runners who like to test themselves. If running isn’t your thing\, come along and support the events by cheering on the runners\, enjoying the beautiful view\, and having a chat with a local. \n\n\n\nThe signature events are the 5km parkrun at Whitemark Wharf\, followed by the 26km Pub2Pub Run that takes participants across the island with stunning views of Mt Strzelecki. DESCRIPTION:The Freycinet Challenge is an annual multi-sport race across the stunning Freycinet Peninsula at Coles Bay\, on the East Coast of Tasmania.  \n\n\n\nIf you’re into Kayaking\, Road Cycling\, Trail Running or Mountain Biking\, this is a challenge that will push your limits in one of the most epic locations in Australia. Join athletes\, fitness enthusiasts\, and adventurers for the ultimate test of endurance\, strength and determination. \n\n\n\nYou can take on the Challenge as a solo competitor or as part of a team\, with options to take part in the full 2-day Challenge or the shorter 1-day Challenge.  If the solo or team competition is not your thing\, you can even create your own challenge by choosing the stages you want to do. \n\n\n\nTrail Running Stages at the Freycinet Challenge\n\n\n\nThe Freycinet Challenge starts and ends with the Trail Run stages and the courses take you along some of the most scenic trails on the Freycinet Peninsula. DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Pathway Ultra is a new event coming to the North West Coast of Tasmania on 5 October 2025. \n\n\n\nThe out and back 64km ultramarathon course will take runners from Latrobe to Ulverstone and return\, along the Coastal Pathway track. DESCRIPTION:The Bruny Island Ultra & Relay is a 64km ultra-marathon across Bruny Island\, running from Dennes Point in the north to the lighthouse in the south.  \n\n\n\nThe distance can be covered solo\, or in a team as a relay. The course is a mix of bitumen and dirt road. Relay team members can run any combination of 2km legs however must changeover at designated points.
