Make it your goal today! 5km may seem out of reach, but you’d be surprised how achievable this distance is.
This 10-week Couch to 5K program starts with short running intervals and builds upon them, as your body adjusts to running (which will happen quicker than you think). If you’re a stick-it-on-the-fridge type of person, you can also download a copy of the program to print.
Remember: there’s no shame in stopping for a walk! The most important things are to get out there, have a go, and celebrate your progress. If you’re looking for extra motivation, we recommend your local parkrun as a free, friendly environment to try out the 5K distance.
