Max’s Infinity Loop is a running, walking and cycling track that forms a 2.5km loop around Queens Domain. It features 360-degree views of Hobart and its surrounds.
Max’s Infinity Loop features bitumen on one side and soft bark on the other, making it suitable for a range of users. The main track is 2km long, with a short gravel trail connecting the ends of the loop. Its raised elevation provides great views of Hobart City and the Derwent River.
There are many biking, walking and running tracks traversing the bushland around the summit, making Queens Domain an ideal location for all sorts of short to medium runs. Max’s Infinity Loop also hosts the Queens Domain parkrun at 9am every Saturday morning.
Via Hobart City Council, “The dual-surface track is the inspiration of local running enthusiasts and named in recognition of Maxwell George Cherry OAM. Max was an Australian athletics and fitness coach based in Hobart who dedicated many years to athletics and the training and promotion of fitness, especially for young people.”
